"There is something appealing about living a life where your leisure clothes get ratty. In a work context the idea is horrifying. Imagine. Working yourself so hard your clothes start to fall apart. The most appealing suit was rendered in a sheeny silver and was listed with a wink as “The Man of Steel Suit”. The drop-crotch lounge pants were patched, and the suit looked like it had been in a torrid relationship with sandpaper. But, all the wear and tear only served to diminishes the newness and replace it with a patina of age."
